Dr. Benjamin Kligler, assistant professor of family medicine at Albert Einstein College of medicine in New York City, said the following about using hypnosis in people&#8217;s conquest to lose weight:</p>
<blockquote><p>Hypnosis is not magic. It&#8217;s not like someone can hypnotize you and then you don&#8217;t want to eat anymore. It&#8217;s a tool that can help you change your eating behavior so that certain patterns become easier to undo or resist</p></blockquote>
<p>During a hypnosis session, a therapist usually brings the client into a deep relaxation state by directing him or her to practice breathing exercises. Also he asks the patient to imagine a peaceful and quiet location, a calm beach or a lush meadow and place themselves in it, simply by sitting on the grass or on a bench. After 10-15 minutes, the therapist will then make suggestions about how the patient might consider food differently. These suggestions will then be  stored in the client&#8217;s subconscious.</p>
<p>Of course there is much more to dietal hypnosis than the described above, however this should give one a basic idea on what is going on in a hypnosis session.</p>
<p>There are a few important factors when choosing a hypnotherapist with the intention of helping one lose weight and get on a more healthy diet:</p>
<ul>
<li>Hypnosis  must be done by a professional who knows and understand the true sense of hypnosis.</li>
<li>The hypnotherapist cannot do anything against the client&#8217;s wishes. There is a known fear among people that the hypnotherapist will somehow do something to the patient while in hypnosis. This is totally impossible. The only thing the hypnotherapist can achieve is what the client already wants subconsciously. Thus, if there is absolutely no wish to lose weight, not even the hypnotherapist can help in that case.</li>
<li>Hypnosis is  an adjunct that must be used with the proper diet and exercise and help the  individual to lose weight.</li>

<p>Hypnosis is not the only process with which one can lose weight; it is a practice that can be used along with a proper diet and exercise strategies. This will enable one to achieve proper weight loss that they had been desiring for.</p>

<p>Well yes and no. The real trick to a healthy lifestyle is to make small changes every day.For example adding fruit to your cereal, having an extra glass of water&#8230;these are but just a few ways you can start living a healthy lifestyle without any serious changes that would knock you out.</p>
<p>Here are a couple of tips on eating well, things that you can implement very easily in your regular, normal diet:</p>
<ul>
<li>Eat more fruit. For example you can add it to your cereal and your salads</li>
<li>Add more vegetables. Add them wherever you can- say a tomato on your sandwich, add some peppers on your pizza (don&#8217;t overdo the pizza though!), add some extra vegetables in your pasta sauce. You can keep pre-cut or canned &amp; frozen vegetables ready for some quick snacks</li>
<li>Lighten your salad dressing. If you eat full-fat dressing, go instead with something lighter and you&#8217;ll automatically eat less calories, without drastically changing anything in your diet.</li>
<li>Drin low-fat or fat-free milk. Switch to skim milk or fat free yogurt</li>
<li>Substitute some foods with others. Go through your cabinets or fridge and select three foods that you eat pretty much every day. Have a pen and pad ready and write down the nutritional content. Now next time you&#8217;re at the store, have that pad ready and check other three similar products that have lower-calories substitutes</li>
</ul>
<p>By applying just a couple of small changes everyday, you will work on your diet without actually spending lot of money on selected pills or dieting programs. Or if you are working with a diet program, these tiny changes will radically enhance the quality of your diet and ease you into losing weight much faster than you otherwise would.</p>

<p>The main trick here is to eat the food types that are bound to improve your health, and avoid those that simply increase you getting illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc. By following some basic guidelines and tips, you can very easily maintain and happy, healthy diet and life.</p>
<p>Here are a couple of tips for healthy dieting:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Keep your food portions moderate</strong> &#8211; you might have noticed that there is a tendency in later years for food servings in restaurants to really increase per place. There are a few things you can do here though: if you&#8217;re with a friend, split your dish with them. If something comes in various sizes, take the middle size (or even the small size). Instead of an entree, get a starter food.</li>
<li><strong>Drink plenty of water</strong> &#8211; we know that our bodies are made of about 75% water, so obviously water is pretty crucial for a healthy diet, because it helps flush toxins and waste products from our kidneys and bladder, and it helps with dehydration.</li>
<li><strong>Chew your food well</strong> &#8211; we all live in a fast and stressful word, and eating food is no different to us from doing anything else we so well do: doing quickly, getting it fast over with. And this is where so many of us end up sick without knowing why. Food needs to be chewed slowly, every bit savored. We need to taste the flavors, enjoy the feeling of really eating once again. We cannot allow unchewed pieces go through our stomach, as we will give our digestive system so much more work and stress to deal with in working through our metabolism.</li>
